Iteris, Inc. (NYSE MKT: ITI), a leader in providing intelligent traffic management and weather information solutions, entered into an agreement with Agrian, a leading provider of widely adopted agri-data tracking and information systems, to provide actionable weather information for precision agronomy.
Under this agreement, Iteris’ ClearPath AgTM high-resolution, precision weather analytics will be integrated into Agrian’s suite of precision agronomy products. Agrian customers—from individual growers to the largest agri-food conglomerates, crop consultants, applicators and retailers—should have access to Iteris’ high-resolution field-level precision weather information for technology driven farming, compliance reporting and agri-food supply chain optimization.
“By licensing our ClearPath Ag technology to Agrian, we are able to provide actionable information that should enhance decision-making for agri-businesses, crop consultants and producers to maximize crop yields, minimize risk and improve compliance reporting,” said Abbas Mohaddes, president and CEO of Iteris. “This agreement further confirms our commitment to expanding analytics services from ‘on-road’ to ‘off-road’ by penetrating new markets with our ClearPathTM products. We believe this relationship is a testament of our strategy to properly align our services with complementary adjacent markets.”
ClearPath AgTM from Iteris provides agribusinesses with the actionable field-level weather information needed for data-driven decision making of efficient crop management, risk reduction and mitigation, and resource allocation. ClearPath Ag is a part of Iteris’ ClearPath set of weather related information diagnostics and solutions, providing actionable information for both “on-road” and “off-road” applications. Iteris’ line of Clearpath data analytics includes broad applications for markets, including traffic, agriculture, facilities, utilities and weather.
“Our mission at Agrian is to deliver the most comprehensive suite of services and solutions to our agribusiness customers,” said Nishan Majarian, Agrian CEO. “We look forward to providing our customers with high-resolution, field-level weather information through Iteris and view this as a stepping stone to introduce additional precision agronomy capabilities in the near future.”
