Even though figuring out your crop selections and mapping out your plantings can be overwhelming, Agrian comes to the rescue to solve that tension. Getting organized with Agrian’s Crop Planning tool is easy. Discover the best way to ensure that nothing disrupts your productivity in the field.

Within Agrian’s Crop Planning tool the user has all-inclusive access to regionally relevant,  university-published budgets stored in a consolidated database and formatted for easy user-specific customization. As a crop advisor, you are a resource to your growers during the planning process.  With Agrian’s University Template Library available, you can provide regionally-relevant, effective plans that have validity with growers.

Universities publish budgets that advisors can manually duplicate today, however finding and then translating such spreadsheets into Crop Planning templates takes significant time. Agrian has solved that problem by providing templates for various commodities and regions in a ready-to-use format. Check out our latest features added to the Crop Planning Tool:

  1. University Template Library – Access unlimited University published budgets converted to template format in a separate, consolidated database within the crop planning tool.  By storing all university budgets in one location, users can reference all data quickly and choose the plan that is most relevant to their operation without having to convert to a usable format.
  2. Regionalized Infrastructure – Ability to manage which universities/commodities are visible, saving time from sifting through all available templates by only viewing relevant template options based on region and crop type.
  3. Copy + Edit – Copy any university template to a user’s personal list, then edit and customize.  Users maintain a complete database to pull from, but can quickly edit and customize templates and save to their personal list to fit the needs of their operation without having to rebuild the templates from scratch to make a small adjustment.

The Crop Planning tool allows the user to convert their plans directly into plantings efficiently, eliminating the need for an additional entry during planting season. As a user, you can approve specific fields, enter additional information, and have the option to skip fields that you are not prepared to commit to plantings yet.

Example:  Here are scenarios modeling the Iowa State original templates (High, Average, and Low productivity scenarios) to see where the grower fell profitability-wise in the spectrum.  (Far left column after the field names is the previous year’s crop – so the grower could make sure all of last year’s corn fields rotated to beans this year).

With the help of the Agrian’s Crop Planning tool, The user ensures a well-planned crop season customized to fit their crops before entering the field.  Are you ready for a smoother running growing season? Email sales@agrian.com for a one-on-one demo today.
